This Thursday, Sept. 6, Chick-fil-A will be hosting the second annual Lafayette vs. Marquette Rivalry Fundraiser.
Renaissance coordinator and business teacher, Matt Landwehr, said he came up with the idea last year while working with a representative from Chick-fil-A, a Lafayette Renaissance sponsor.
Fifteen percent of all purchases will go directly to the Lafayette Renaissance program. Plus, the school that raises the most money will receive an additional $500 bonus check.
In order to participate, all you have to do is order something from the Chick-fil-A in the valley between 5:30-8:30 p.m. Then, place your receipt in one of the bins located throughout the restaurant.
“Last year the fundraiser raised a lot of money for our school, which all goes back to the kids,” Landwehr said. “We won last year so I expect Lafayette to defend our title against Marquette”.
The fundraiser winner will be announced this Friday at the LHS vs. MHS football game.

[Families] actually having the opportunity to have their kids on the field with us is the most important aspect,” Ben Lundt said.](https://lancerfeed.press/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/IMG_6823-1200x800.jpg)
