The Rockwood School District has just reported their official enrollment, believe it or not the student enrollment has declined by 250 students.
For the 2012-2013 year the enrollment has been marked at 21,951 students through out all of the Rockwood schools, compared to last school years 2011-2012 student enrollment of 22,201 students.
Rockwood schoools being in the locational area of alot of older and established communities, it is to be expected that there are less children in this area, also less new families to repopulate the system.
According to the Rockwood website, “Enrollment at the elementary and middle school levels declined, as well as at two high schools – Lafayette and Rockwood Summit. Enrollment at Marquette and Eureka high schools increased, with Eureka High experiencing a two percent increase in enrollment.”
