To help students prepare for the ACT, Lafayette Renaissance is hosting a Practice ACT test Sept. 14 at school. After the early release students will take the test, proctored by Sylvan Learning Center, which will last from 12:30-3:45 p.m.
The Practice ACT helps students get familiar with the test taking environment. It is especially helpful for juniors who will be taking the ACT April 24.
Principal John Shaughnessy said, “It can only help [students] in the long run with learning and having a better understanding of what is expected in order to do well in the future.”
The Practice ACT is available to students in grades 9-12 and costs $10. The proceeds will go directly to Lafayette Renaissance.
“I think the more opportunities that we can provide our students to get experience and exposure to the ACT exam the better.” Shaughnessy said.

[Families] actually having the opportunity to have their kids on the field with us is the most important aspect,” Ben Lundt said.](https://lancerfeed.press/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/IMG_6823-1200x800.jpg)
