The Character Education Partnership (CEP) announced Kehrs Mill Elementary the 2010 National School of Character
Previously, Rockwood was named a National School District of Character by the CEP in 2006. This year the Rockwood elementary school is one of only 11 schools and two school districts nationwide to receive this recognition.
In addition, the CEP’s Blue Ribbon Panel selected Kehrs Mill Elementary and the other recipients based on the 11 principles of effective character education such as self motivation and community involvement.
