Social Studies teacher Steve Klawiter will have his AP World History class take the digital exam this May. He said he looks forward to seeing how his students will perform on the exam. “Its been very clear theyre moving towards digital. Since the pandemic started, theyve been putting the pieces in place to go digital, Klawiter said. “I think that ultimately it’s going to be more beneficial because with systems like Canvas and Google Classroom, students are used to more digital activities and less handwriting activities.”

Science teacher Elizabeth Overcash, who has attended more than 35 concerts throughout her life, said her all-time favorite concert was a the Louis Tomlinson performance she attended July 29 at the Forest Hills Stadium in New York. About 9,000-10,000 people attended the concert, which cost her $52 to attend.

Despite attending many Harry Styles concerts and also attending Taylor Swift’s Eras tour, Overcash said being with her closest friends during Louis Tomlinson’s concert was what made it her favorite.

“Concerts are not only about the music and the musicians but also about the people you go with and the people you’re connected to through that,” Overcash said.

At that concert, Overcash was able to see some long-distance friends she met on social media, some for the first time, who also shared her love for the music of One Direction and Louis Tomlinson.

“I met a lot of people through Twitter and through my love of One Direction and Taylor Swift. But I also met a bunch of these people because we love Louis Tomlinson. Some of them are some of my best friends because we talk every day, and for a couple of those people, it was the first time I ever got to meet them in person,” Overcash said.

One memorable thing Overcash did during the Louis Tomlinson concert was get her favorite Seven tattoo from another fan in the audience. The Seven tattoo holds significance as it symbolizes the title of a cover performance by Louis Tomlinson during the concert, specifically, his rendition of “Seven” by Catfish and the Bottlemen.

“It’s probably my favorite cover he has ever done. He loves that song and I love that song,” Overcash said

Out of all the tattoos Overcash had gotten from her favorite artists like Harry Styles’ Butterfly and the One Direction Screw, the Seven is her favorite as it holds the most meaning to her.

“It’s about being in a different time zone from the people you care about. It kind of just fits with all of my friends from around the country and around the world that I’ve been able to meet through all these concerts,” Overcash said.

The “Seven” song makes Overcash feel close to all of her friends living in different countries.

Overcash was also able to meet up with some other friends from New York, California, Florida and Texas during the Louis Tomlinson concert.

“I think that part of the concert experience is just enjoying it with people that you care about,” Overcash said.
