Sarah Ortiz, freshman, had a big change in her life by moving to the U.S. from Puerto Rico. She had to adjust to her new school, new people and a new language. The Image caught up with her to ask her a few questions about her experience.
Q: Why did you move here from Puerto Rico?
Ortiz: “For my parents jobs.”
Q: What’s your favorite thing about Puerto Rico?
Ortiz:”Food. I love the food there.”
Q: What’s your favorite thing about living here?
Ortiz:”My friends and school.”
Q: Do you like living here or Puerto Rico more?
Ortiz:”Puerto Rico.”
Q: What was the hardest thing about moving here?
Ortiz: “Leaving my family behind and having to adapt to new people and a new language.”
