The weather is heating up, so head to Andy’s Frozen Custard to cool down. Andy’s has been serving frozen custard made with only top quality ingredients since 1986. A brand new location just opened on April 13 at 15501 Manchester Rd. in Ballwin.

Andy’s sells concretes, malts, shakes, sundaes, floats, freezes and sodas, as well as just frozen custard, which comes in cups, cones, and pints. Andy’s offers classic vanilla and chocolate frozen custard alongside specialty flavors of custard, concretes and shakes ranging from mint chip to the “James Brownie Funky Jackhammer.” My personal favorite concrete flavor is Pretzel Caramel Crunch.

All the frozen custard treats from Andy’s are silky and smooth, with deliciously sweet flavors. Andy’s also serves Sprecher’s soda, both alone and in floats, and Zarlengo’s Italian Ice.

Cones/cups of frozen custard at Andy’s cost $2.49-$4.09. Malts and shakes cost $4.39 for a small and $5.34 for a large. Concretes can cost anywhere from $4.24 to $7.54 depending on size and flavor. It’s not cheap, but it’s worth it for the quality of the frozen custard and the amount you get.

Andy’s winter hours (Labor Day to Memorial Day) are 11 am to 11 pm on from Sunday to Thursday and 11 am to 11:30 pm on Friday and Saturday. In the summer (Memorial Day to Labor Day) Andy’s is open from 11 am to 11:30 pm on Thursday through Sunday and 11 am to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. Stop by for some great frozen custard next time you’re out and about.
