Humans of Lafayette: Meet Christian Oliver
January 27, 2016
When you get an injury, you normally get over it in about two to three months. But what if you get hurt constantly? Christian Oliver, junior, has gotten three sport related concussions, sprained his ankle 4-10 times and broken his ankle once.
“I stopped wrestling and football because of the concussions and started cross country and track,” Oliver said.
Even changing sports wasn’t enough to save Oliver from injury. Recently, he sprained his ankle from a cross country Conference.
“I had to wear a boot for six weeks, but it started hurting again so I had it checked out by a doctor and he told me to get a MRI. After I got my MRI done I was told I will be going through Physical Therapy on Thursdays,” Oliver said.
When asked about his history with injury, Oliver said that one stands out.
“I had a concussion in freshman year of wrestling. We were doing a drill and my partner knocked me out cold,” Oliver said.
