At the 2023 Prom, Class of 2023 graduates Joe Marlo and Will Barry stay at the edge of the main floor to do their dancing. Because the small dance floor was the most crowded area, many students gathered around the edges with friends or in small groups.

Club Spotlight: Lafayette Christian Fellowship

With meeting every Thursday at six thirty, Lafayette Christian Fellowship (LCF) is one of many clubs here at Lafayette. Anyone is welcome to come to meetings for there are no requirements other than being a Christian student of Lafayette.

The group starts off with a bible study lead by the designated leaders of the club. After bible study, members have fun and talk about God and also what verse they just studied meant. One member of the club is sophomore, Sarah Buettner, who will be a leader along with sophomores Delaney Eyermann and Abi Miller.

“I really like the club because it’s you know a good way to get to know and talk to people about religion and God” Buettner said.

But LCF isn’t just about the Bible Study and things like that it’s also about supporting each other and working through your everyday problems with God. Club Sponsor , Crystal McDowell, has observed this.

“Most of what I’ve observed (in LCF) is that support network that they have but they are meeting tonight with the new leaders to try and plan ways to come out and help the community through partnering with other clubs like helping with the Blood Drive and other things like that” McDowell said.

The club is beginning to become more involved in their community and are hoping to partner with clubs on the Blood Drive and other community events. Meetings are open to all Christian denominations and students are welcome to come to any meeting.
