Social Studies teacher Steve Klawiter will have his AP World History class take the digital exam this May. He said he looks forward to seeing how his students will perform on the exam. “Its been very clear theyre moving towards digital. Since the pandemic started, theyve been putting the pieces in place to go digital, Klawiter said. “I think that ultimately it’s going to be more beneficial because with systems like Canvas and Google Classroom, students are used to more digital activities and less handwriting activities.”

Out and About: B&B Theatres

Out+and+About%3A+B%26amp%3BB+Theatres

B&B Theatres opened in the Wildwood Town Center in Oct. 2010, and it has been gaining an audience from the crowds of movie-goers that were originally only torn between the Chesterfield AMC in the mall and the Wehrenberg Galaxy in the Valley.

While B&B may not be as large as either of those theaters, it does present a film experience that feels more intimate than its competitors.

The facility consists of 10 different all-digital projection screens. It is the first and currently only theater in St. Louis that only screens films digitally. As a result, it has also become one of the first movie theaters in the world to be built completely without a standard projection booth for screening non-digital movies.

It is also the most expensive of the theater chain’s locations, featuring a consistently lavish art-deco design throughout, resulting in a theater that, while less grandiose than the Galaxy, feels fancier and well-kept.

Along with the regular sale of beverages, popcorn and the like, the area around the theater is home to many fine restaurants, including Table Three, Indigo Joe’s, and Starbucks, meaning that going out of your way for dinner before or after your movie isn’t an issue.

Most importantly, for students living around the Lafayette area, B&B isn’t a long drive at all. It’s a fine facility, it’s near a lot of other places worth checking out, and after all, who doesn’t dig a great movie every once in a while?
