A lot of the students enter the Lancers Landing school store on a regular basis for cheap prices on much wanted items. lhsimage.com talked to one of the parent volunteers who help keep the store running.
Q: What exactly do you do here, and what is your position?
A: My position here is a volunteer, and I collect money from the kids when they come in and buy things.
Q: What is the highlight of your day? How long do you actually stay here during the day?
A: It’s just a couple of hours, and the highlight of my day is just seeing all the kids that I have seen from kindergarten up.
Q: Is it interesting seeing repeat customers over the days?
A: Oh yeah! It’s great to see the repeat of kids.
Q: Is there anything that stands out to you most volunteering here?
A: Well just getting to see my kids and their friends, and helping out the school, and the students here.
Q: So you do have children attending the school?
A: I do, just one this year. I had one that graduated a couple of years ago.
