Dauster travels the country for mission trips

While many students dream of warm beaches for their summer vacation this year, junior Ami Dauster is looking forward to a different kind of trip.

Dauster is very involved with her youth group, with participates with World Changers International to go on mission trips across the country.

“Every summer my church youth group is involved with World Changers. We usually go out of state and meet up with other churches involved with World Changers. We help with home repairs for people who have a serious need,” Dauster said.

This summer, the group will travel to Knoxville, TN and will be there June 26 through July 30.

Dauster said that although they do not know their assignments until they arrive, while there the group usually helps with, “tasks like painting, roofing and general home repairs.”

Although the physical tasks are a lot of work, Dauster said she enjoys doing it.  She added that her favorite part is, “meeting and working with the people from the other churches and seeing God changing lives.”
