InBetween Media: not just another YouTube hit

Sophomore Jonathan Perera was featured in The Image print edition in 2009 for his work on “Perera Projects.” Over the last few months, his  YouTube videos have transformed into a media production success.

“Inbetween Media is actually a continuation of what we used to call Perera Projects. Perera Projects was a very limited outlet for us to showcase our work,” Perera said.

Perera and his friends realized that YouTube was not reaching all of the audience that was desired, so they created their own website.

He continued, “Inbetween Media is a media group based out of St. Louis, MO dedicated to having fun and keeping things fresh.”

Perera and associates create short films about skateboarding and snowboarding, along with gag reels and regular segments, such as Random Wednesdays and Saturday Slam.

“But it’s important to remember that we not only take videos and make montages and edits on a regular basis, but we also have a skilled staff of photographers that include Lafayette students Hannah Williams, Anthony Levy and Joe Puetz,” Perera said.

InBetween Media is associated with community businesses such as Development Skates, Thomas Heney Music, Puidak Films and John & Chris Productions.

With a new line of T-shirts coming this summer, and two full length films in the making , talented Lafayette students prove that they are a force to be reckoned with.
