Custom cake shop gives new way to “Celebrate Life”

The recently opened Celebrating Life Cake Boutique offers unique cake, cookie and cupcake designs for any occassion.

The shop has created cakes for weddings, kids’ birthdays and other special occasions. Cookies and cupcakes are available in standard flavors or custom decorated. For something truly unique, they have made sculpted cakes representing different objects such as purses, dogs and an iPhone.

Besides the design, there are 10 cake flavors, 11 cake fillings and nine icing flavors available to help make a delicious, one-of-a-kind cake for any event. They also have chocolate chip cookie cakes and almond or vanilla cake petit fours. Cupcakes come iced with buttercream, with standard decoration, or with premium decoration. Cookies come in chocolate chip, double chocolate chunk, snickerdoodle, or custom decorated sugar cookies.

Because of the extra decorations and design options available, pricing for any custom decorated dessert will vary from the base price.

Standard cake pricing ranges from $19.95 for a six inch round cake, which serves eight people, to $45.95 for a half sheet cake, which serves 48 people. These prices include buttercream icing, buttercream filling, and a basic design. Extras such as custom decoration, fondant accents, a fondant cover, bows, figures, flowers, dragees and luster are an additional charge.

Cupcakes start at $2 each for an iced with buttercream, increase to $2.50 for one with standard decoration, and top at $2.75 for a cupcake with premium decoration.

Their cookies cakes are 12″ round chocolate chip with standard decoration, and cost $19.95. Petit fours cost $21.95 per dozen for both flavors.

Five inch “jumbo” cookies are $1.50 each or $17 for a dozen, while custom decorated sugar cookies range from $2.25 to $2.75 each.

Celebrating Life Cake’s make all the cakes, fillings, and icings from scratch to get the best flavor for any cake, cookie, or cupcake.

You can visit Celebrating Life Cake Boutique at 2430 Taylor Rd. in Wildwood or visit their website, www.celebratinglifecakes.com, for more information about their flavors, prices or contact information. There is also a gallery of their previous work so you can see examples of their sculpted cakes, birthday cakes, seasonal cakes and many other designs.
