October 21, 2020
Students will have the chance to pick up any materials that are required for their Quarter 2 courses in addition to dropping off materials from Quarter 1. Associate Principal Mike Franklin said, “We will be accepting first quarter items from students Oct. 23-24. Please check with your first quarter teacher to make sure they want materials returned. In many cases, year-long classes will require that students keep their materials through the second semester.”
Students with last names beginning A-L have their pick-up/drop-off day on Oct. 23, from 2-6 p.m. For students with last names beginning M-Z, their pick-up/drop-off day is on Oct. 24, from 2-6 p.m.
The pick-up and drop-off both will take place in the Commons. Students are required to fill out the COVID-19 Self Report Form before arriving at the school building. Masks must also be worn at all times when inside the school building.
In addition to the material pick-up and drop-off, juniors are also being given the opportunity to take a free practice ACT test in the form of a self-assessment booklet. The practice ACT packet is available for pick-up during both Quarter 2 pick-up days in the Upper Commons. Juniors also received an email with instructions on how to properly take the test themselves including the correct times to set for each section. More information on the practice ACT can be found on the Lafayette A+ and Testing Coordinator’s website.
