Student Council (STUCO) has presented the theme “Rock of Ages” for Homecoming. Each day will have its specific theme in which students can dress up. Monday starts off Homecoming Week with “Pajamming Day.” Tuesday will be “Blues Gloria Day.” Wednesday is “80s Day.” Thursday is “Lets Get Physical Day.” And lastly, Friday is “Neon Lights Day.”
STUCO also has activities for students to participate in during lunch periods and flex. On Tuesday, students can participate with their grade level class to set up hall decorations in front of the school. On Wednesday, there will be a pumpkin toss activity during all three lunch shifts. During all three Flex periods on Thursday, there will be inflatable competitions.
Monday through Friday tickets will be sold during the Flex period. Tickets will cost $15 for a single ticket and $30 for a couples ticket. The cost will go up if students purchase tickets on Friday; single tickets will cost $20, couples tickets will be $40. Tickets will not be sold at the dance.
Assistant Dance Chair of STUCO, Julia Manning, believes that she and the rest of the STUCO board will make Homecoming Week as well as the Homecoming Dance an enjoyable experience.
“I really enjoy working with everybody who is on the STUCO board. They all work super hard, and we are going to make it where it is fun for everyone,” Manning said.
Laney Tvrdik, STUCO Dance Chair, is excited for the upcoming Homecoming activities but also the community aspect of it.
“The thing I am most looking forward to about Homecoming week is all the activities coming up, such as Powder Puff, the parade and the pep assembly,” Tvrdik said. “It not only builds school spirit but allows students to hang out with their friends and community.”
