Music In Our Schools annual choir concert takes place Oct. 18

The annual Music In Our Schools choir concert will take place in the Lafayette Gymnasium on Wednesday, Oct. 18.
Not only is this a Lafayette choir concert, it also involves many other Rockwood District schools, such as: Babler Elementary, Chesterfield Elementary, Crestview Middle School, Ellisville Elementary, Green Pines Elementary, Rockwood Valley Middle School and Wildwood Middle School.
The teachers from these schools hold this concert as a way to convince the Rockwood community the importance of music education in each grade, K through 12.
Another main purpose of this large concert is to give all choir students an opportunity to perform.
“I am a strong advocate for this concert. It encompasses all of our goals in the choral music department into one concert,” Choir Director Ken Tucker said.
