Coffee House exhibits student talent, creativity

On November 8, performing arts students and staff gathered to display their creative abilities through spoken word poetry and musical performances. The show is organized and coordinated through Traci Bolton, guitar teacher, and is named “Coffee House” due to the sound and style of the show.

Former students, colleagues celebrate retirees

On April 8, during the eclipse, librarians, Jane Lingafelter and Robin Van Iwaarden, look at the sun using solar viewers, while on the field. Students and staff spent time on the field during the eclipse. The next partial eclipse in Missouri wont be till 2045.

Lafayette students, staff observe eclipse

Social Studies teacher Steve Klawiter will have his AP World History class take the digital exam this May. He said he looks forward to seeing how his students will perform on the exam. “Its been very clear theyre moving towards digital. Since the pandemic started, theyve been putting the pieces in place to go digital, Klawiter said. “I think that ultimately it’s going to be more beneficial because with systems like Canvas and Google Classroom, students are used to more digital activities and less handwriting activities.”

Lafayette students, staff observe eclipse
