The Lancer Wrestling team achieved first place at Parkway South tournament. As a team, they finished with a total of 462 points. The team finished with five first place champions: seniors Chase Behrndt and Alex Wier, sophomores Anthony Michaels and Cameron Wegener, and  freshman Jayden Carson. There were two second place finishers, seniors Al Brown and Jordan Carson. Then there were third place finishers: seniors Noah Robinson and Brendan Mckenna, juniors Austin Stofer and Mike Wozniak and freshman Jaylen Carson. The lone fourth place finisher was senior Jon Fogarty.

The wrestlers believe this is a promising start to the year for a team with high hopes. Alex Wier was one of the winning wrestlers that day and provided some insight on the team as a whole.

“We were ready to wrestle,” was the motto from Wier.

“We wrestled up to par, but we’re still not satisfied yet. Our goals are set very high because we know the potential on our team,” Wier said.

The wrestlers look to continue their winning as the season continues.
