As Homecoming Week draws closer, so does the annual Powder Puff Game featuring Male Escadrille at half-time show.
The game is scheduled for Thursday Sept. 29 at 7 p.m. It is $5 for admission, which will go to charity. There’s no family rate for the game, and Super Fan passes will not work since this is a charity event. Likewise, Rockwood staff outside of Lafayette will have to pay to enter the game.
Senior Women jerseys should arrive by Friday Sept. 23 at latest. Jerseys may decorated, as long as it is tasteful
“As soon as the jerseys get here, we will distribute them after school,” Senior Women sponsor Lauren Arnett said. “It will take 20 minutes at most.”
Girls interested in playing must turn in a team sheet with the names of all the members of the team. Teams should have no more than 11 people, but if a team has fewer than 11, the sheet can still be turned in and combined with another partial team.
Participants must attend at least two practices to play in the game. The remaining four practices will be on Wednesday Sept. 21 from 3:30-4:15 p.m., Thursday Sept. 22 from 6-6:45 p.m., Tuesday Sept. 27 from 3:30-4:15 p.m. and Wednesday Sept. 28 from 3:30-4:15 p.m.
On the day of the Powder Puff Game, participating girls must wear either their jersey or all black to school and the game. Girls must wear something under their jersey (more than a bandeau or a sports bra) to both school and the game. Those who wish to participate in Running of the Halls will meet on the shelf of the Commons at 7:50 a.m the morning of the game.
There will be a final practice after school from 4:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. If you intend to play, you must meet on the Lower Practice Field before 5:30 p.m.
“The teams that have the most combined practices will start and have more field time the day of the game,” Arnett said.
Senior boys wishing to participate in Male Escadrille must have signed up in the Senior Office before Friday Sept. 16. It costs $5, which covers the cost of admission.
Male Escadrille will practice Tuesday Sept. 2o and Tuesday Sept. 27 from 6- 7:30 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose Room. There will be a final practice on Thursday Sept. 29 at 6 p.m.
