Eight freshmen were selected as the newest memebers of the Renaissance Student Steering Committee.
The new members include: Bobbie Boxerman, Jack Heath, Lily Johnson, Andie Kindsvater, Olivia Neumann, Eric Rachell, Chase Shelton and Michael Weffelmeyer.
The freshmen faced an application process that included a two-day interview with current Renaissance Student Steering Committee members.
Students will take part in preparing the Academic Pep Assembly, Camp Babler, multiple Renaissance conferences and the overall effort to promote academic excellence throughout Lafayette.
