The LHS College Information Night will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 7 from 7-9 p.m.
“The main purpose of the College Information Night is to give students the opportunity to meet admission representatives from various colleges and gather information about colleges they are interested in,” College Admissions Specialist Beth Brasel said.
Although students are encouraged to take ownership of their college selection and enrollment process, parents are encouraged to attend with their students.
Students and parents will begin in the Theater for half and hour, and will have the opportunity to visit three different sessions during the remaining time.
Each session is designed to answer questions about a specific part of the college selection process.
The sessions offered cover a variety of topics, including athletic recruiting, the admission process, scholarships and financial aid.
Other sessions discuss the role of parents in the admission process, college entrance exams, science and technology careers, test preparation and the A+ Program.
“For seniors, the college fair is a good opportunity to ask last minute questions or get additional information. It is a great opportunity for juniors and sophomores to start the college process,” Brasel said.
