Lafayette’s Culinary Team, made up of students in FACS classes have entered a Gingerbread House in a contest at Plaza Frontenac sponsored by Lydia’s House. The theme of this year’s contest is “It’s A Small, World.”
Lydia’s House is an organization that provides transitional housing and critical support services for abused women and their children
The display of houses created by St. Louis’s best chefs runs through Dec. 5. The houses will be judged by a panel of experts and prizes will be awarded during a special ceremony on Sunday, Dec. 5 at 2 p.m. at Plaza Frontenac. The winners in each category, which are chosen by 23 judges, will be announced at that time.
The Lafayette FACS students have entered a house titled “Christmas Around the World”.
This year there is also a new award called, “People’s Choice” where anyone can go on Facebook and vote for their favorite gingerbread house. Everyone with a Facebook account can go online and vote for the LHS Culinary Team’s Gingerbread House. the link is:
