Long overdue, the Lafayette parking lot underwent a complete makeover this past summer. Improvements to the parking lot were just one of the $23 million worth of projects the district conducted this past summer, done through Prop 3 funding.

With her hand in the air, junior batter Sidney Vogt gets ready to high five her coach on a run to home-plate. Vogt hit a grand slam this game to lead the Lancers to a 16-1 blowout against St. Joe, Sept. 2.

During the Battle of 109, senior center defender TJ Bender dribbles down the field. Bender led his team to squeeze out a 3-2 win against the Wildcats.

To avoid a sack, senior quarterback Brady Micek escapes the pocket and rushes downfield. Micek threw for 245 yards and four touchdowns, as Lafayette beat Parkway Central, 55-0.

Running towards the end zone, senior wide reciever Terance Bills weaves his way past multiple Hawks on Friday, Sep. 5. Lafayette triumphed over Hazelwood Central, 49-0.

Hoax threats: a real issue in an age of uncertainty
Homework, early start times and extracurricular activities can make it hard for students to get a good night's rest. To help overcome this, the John Hopkins School of Medicine recommends adolescents keep a consistent bedtime even on the weekends and get rid of electronics an hour before bed for high quality sleep.

Prom held at Ritz-Carlton for third consecutive year
At the basketball station, an athlete winds-up to dunk on the hoop. Athletes who made the basketball in the hoop were awarded candy.
