Lancers head to Eureka for rivalry game
January 23, 2015
The Lancers boys basketball team will travel to Eureka to face the 4-9 Wildcats tonight at 7 pm. The game is a continuation of the longstanding rivalry between Eureka and Lafayette, the two original high schools in the Rockwood School District.
So far this year, the two schools sports teams have been evenly matched. The Wildcats’ football team won the season-opening meeting between the two schools, but the Lancers took revenge with an 40-35 victory over the Wildcats in the playoffs. In softball, the Lancers opened the season with a win over Eureka, but were eliminated from the playoffs by the Wildcats. Last year the Lancers basketball team defeated the Wildcats both times that the teams met.
The Lancers come into this game on a 7-game win streak and with a 12-1 record.

[Families] actually having the opportunity to have their kids on the field with us is the most important aspect,” Ben Lundt said.](https://lancerfeed.press/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/IMG_6823-1200x800.jpg)
