A recently tough schedule resulted in losses to some of the area’s teams: John Burroughs, Edwardsville, Villa Duchesne and St. Joseph’s Academy. After those games, the Lancer field hockey team is now heading into this week 5-5.

On September 23rd, the Lancers redeemed themselves with a 7-0 shutout against Brentwood with goals from Mara Hunt, Paige Miller, Mary Reynolds, Abi Miller and Katie Hansen.  It was also the team’s Teacher Appreciation Night.

“We’ve had some really close games lately. Our team is really close so we all help each other out on the field”, said Paige Miller.

The team will face Rosati-Kain on Thursday September 24th at 4:15.

Senior defender Alexis Richie said, “We’re looking forward to our upcoming games, we seem to have found our confidence again and can’t wait to get back on the field to show our skills and impress our coach.”
