Boys cross country hopes to keep streak alive

The boys cross country team began their season on August 30th at the Randy Seagrist Invitational.  Overall, the team finished the meet in first place. Junior Dylan Quisenberry finished the 5k with a time of 16:47.3, junior Alec Haines came in second place with a time of 16:58.9. Junior Devin Meyrer followed in third with 17:08.7.

The team then went to the Paul Enke Invitational on September 6th and placed first overall once again. Quisenberry snatched first place with a time of 17:05.20 followed by Meyrer in third place with a time of 17:13.20.

The team will be traveling to the Stan Nelson Invitational on September 13th in hopes of continuing their winning streak. Meyrer feels that the team is working harder than ever to reach their goals. Meyrer “We’re going for the win this season. We really are top competitors in the running for the state title, and after third place last year we want to take the crown,”
