What are your greatest accomplishments in soccer?
“High school wise, we got 3rd place in the State my freshman year, and then last year we made it all the way to District finals, but unfortunately, we lost. Last year, I was All-District first team, All-Conference first team, and I got some awards at the end of the year,” Swan said.
What are your goals for this season?
“Ultimately, a team goal is to win the state,” Swan said. “Personally, I just want to be the best I can be, and improve from last year. Since I’m a captain this year, I really want to work on leading the team to the best of my ability.”
What is your most anticipated game this season?
Swan is looking forward to play Eureka in the Battle of 109, since the Wildcats beat Lafayette in the District final last year.
What motivates you to play soccer?
What do you think about when you play?
“So before every game, we do wrist tape and we like writing things that are important to us. On mine, I always like to write effort like that’s a big thing to me. I’m always thinking, ‘how hard can I go into this tackle?’ ‘What can I do to help the team right now?’ ‘Am I working as hard as I possibly can?'” Swan said.
Who is your role model?
“I’d say my dad’s a big role model, soccer wise and just in my life. He played soccer when he was younger, and he still does. So, he’s the closest thing to a soccer figure I’ve had, and then just in life, I think he’s a really selfless person, he’s always super caring and always thinking about others,” Swan said.
