The undefeated Lady Lancer lacrosse team continued its five-game win streak on April 15 with a 12-9 win over Villa Duchesne. Early on, the game remained two sided, with constant scoring changes until the Lady Lancers were able to secure an 8-6 lead at the half before keeping a tight lead until the end of regulation.
Senior Hilary Lawless, who is fifth in the Conference among scoring leaders, led all players with five goals, four of which were before the break. Junior Hannah Hayes then added another four.
Lafayette remains third in the Independent Conference after Ladue and Clayton. The team scheduled to compete again on April 19 against St. Joseph’s Academy.
