Vampire Weekend played at the Chaifetz Arena, where graduation is held every year, on Oct. 3.
There truly is not a more adequate way to describe the show: It was awesome.
To begin, the opening bands were fantastic. The Very Best had a singer and a dj, everyone was dancing. Then Beach House played a calm set that put the crowd into a trance. They had great tone and had very interesting lighting.
So, it’s a little after 9 p.m. and All I Do Is Win by DJ Khaled starts playing, and Vampire Weekend enters the stage…to that song.
They are an indie band, this was just hilarious. The crowd is cracking up and automatically the band starts playing a super upbeat song.
The rest of the show goes as follows: great stage props (including five chandeliers that moved around on the ceiling), interesting music, tons of dancing.
It really was a lovely night.
So here are my final words. Vampire Weekend is on their way up. Their show was much larger and they had a ton more energy than they did when they played at The Pageant about two years ago.
The concert was a 5 out of 5 and was the most fun concert I have been to.
