Soccer fanatics worldwide screamed out in unison, “We are 11,” with the Sept. 28 release of FIFA 11.
Breath-taking graphics fill the pixels of each television screen as stunning opening film mesmorizes gamers with a display of graceful, forceful, and superb soccer playing from big names like Rooney and the games new face, Kaka.
The career mode remains the same as previous FIFA titles as gamers have the option to play matches as the entire team or a single player. Never before in a FIFA title is the option to play as the goalie which is an appealing concept yet means a lot of waiting around for the ball to make it to the net. While it takes a lot of patience it is exhilarating to dive for balls and even more rewarding when you firmly snag the ball out of midair.
Also new to the franchise is each player having their own individual personalities on the ball which shows in their passing, shooting, dribbling, and coverage on the ball. Online matches give players points as they level up numerically earning points for every shot, goal and win.
It takes a while to rank seeing as each loss results in negative points which takes a toll on each player’s rank. After each match players can check out video high lights, reliving the excitement of making a finesse shot or stopping a threatening goal.
FIFA 11 builds upon its previous successful title, FIFA 10, and adds features that allow gamers to be even more immersed in the world of FIFA soccer.
