Superintendent says Ferguson grand jury decision will not impact school schedule
November 19, 2014
Rockwood superintendent Eric Knost posted a letter on Rockwood websites five days ago regarding the upcoming Ferguson grand jury decision. In his letter Knost addressed the upcoming grand jury decision and stated that school will resume regardless of the growing tension. Knost also suggested that students support one another when the time comes since the verdict could be difficult to handle for others. Students and families will be informed and updated with more information when the time comes.
More than 100 days since the incident, the grand jury is expected to announce their decision in the next few weeks. This is a major event because the outcome will decide whether or not Officer Darren Wilson will be charged and put on trial. The whole nation has its eyes on St. Louis because the decision will be a definitive moment of the Justice system in the United States.
