No words can describe new improv group, LHS Undefined
Searching for some comedy, creativity and something to do this Friday night? LHS’ new improv group, Undefined, will hold their first ever show, “Sugar, Spice, and Everything Undefined,” Dec. 6 at 3:30 ($3 admission) and 7 ( $5 admission) in the Theater.
Sponsored by drama teacher Natasha Toro, Undefined is a twenty member crew that holds shows for charity and meets after school to rehearse.
Seniors Shelby Foley, Chase Shelton and Katherine Stinnett decided that improvisational comedy (improv) was something they wanted to bring to Lafayette.
Improv is completely unscripted acting, dancing, singing, playing musical instruments, talking, etc. It is all about acting in the moment and reacting to the other members of the group as well as the audiences responses.
Improv is a theatrical technique and an art form. Undefined held auditions back on Oct. 22 and had callbacks just as they would for seasonal play.
Why call themselves Undefined? Because the name fit the concept they were aiming for.
“We are called Undefined because we are diverse and cannot be defined by one thing or characteristic,” Foley said.
No show is the same just like the people within, so if you’re looking for a good laugh come to the theater and see why these improv fanatics are Undefined. “It’ll be fun and all proceeds go to charity,” Shelton said.
