NHS hosts first 3 vs 3 Basketball Tournament

Setting up the concession stand, NHS sponsor Brian Fish takes inventory of the waters. Several members of NHS donated food and beverages to the tournament to be sold in the concession stand. The profits from the concession stand along with the team entry fees and donations earned a total of $277 to be donated to CHADS Coalition for Mental Health.
On March 7, Lafayette’s National Honor Society (NHS) hosted their first annual 3 vs 3 Basketball Tournament in the Main Gym. All proceeds from the tournament went to CHADS Coalition for Mental Health, an organization based in St. Louis that focuses on raising awareness of and preventing young adult suicide and depression. In its first year, the tournament raised $277 and had seven teams participate including four high school boys teams and three middle school boys teams. In addition to basketball games, the tournament also put on a three point contest which 8th Grader Nate Dorner won by sinking 13 of 15 shots.
