Every four years countries around the world are granted the opportunity to compete in the Olympics. The best of the best have achieved the greatest of honors as they competed head-to-head in the most intense of events.
The United States of America dominated in numbers and in talent as the States led with 37 medals overall. The tangible excitement still hovers even after the closing ceremonies on Feb. 28.
Many different events evoke certain responses from the crowds; the grace of figure skating, the rush of speed skating, and the exhilaration of snowboarding.
The highlights kept coming as more athletes broke records, raising the Olympic bar.
lhsimage.com asked some students to recall their favorites from Vancouver.
Q: What is your favorite part of the Olympics?
