Throughout the school, many of the digital clocks in the halls and classroom are stuck on a variety of times, none of which are correct. Administrators are not sure what has caused the problem.
“The company in charge of the clocks came out on Thursday (Sept. 16) and fixed them for a short period of time,” Assistant Principal Matt Dieckhaus said.
But the clocks are still broken.
“It could be the lightning from last weekend or the fact that they are trying to hook up the clocks in the new area of the school, but we really don’t know why they are broken,” Dieckhaus said.
The company workers will be returning to Lafayette this week to try to remedy the problem. Until then, students and staff members will have to rely on their phones, watches and computers to tell time.
