DIY: Baseball Bracelet
April 9, 2016
After this long, cold winter, baseball season has finally arrived yet again. For many St. Louisians, this means supporting the Cardinals in any way.
One accessory any die-hard Cardinals fan should invest in is a baseball bracelet. Suitable for both genders, the baseball bracelet is stylish and easy to make.
Materials:
Baseball
Craft knife
Scissors
Step 1: Using a craft knife, carefully cut around the edges of the stitching on the ball, making sure to cut all the way through the leather. Cut all the way around on both sides of the stitching.
Step 2: Pull the leather apart from the guts of the ball. The stitching piece should pull off fairly easily and all in one piece.
Step 3: To make the bracelet, take out the stitching to the appropriate length of the bracelet. Make sure not to cut the strings. Once the strings have been taken out, you can cut the parts of the leather off that will not be needed.
Step 4: To clean up the edges of the bracelet, cut as close or far apart to the stitching as you’d like. Make sure you don’t cut the stitching, for this will ruin your bracelet.
Step 5: When you have your bracelet the length you’d like, all you have to do is use the strings to tie a knot to keep your bracelet on.
Step 6: Show off your new bracelet
