McRae finds comfort in concerts
March 12, 2015
Music has always been a significant aspect of junior Aubrey McRae’s life. In the past year alone, McRae has attended 10 concerts. In total, she has been to around 25 concerts.
“I go to so many concerts because it makes me happy,” McRae said, “I really enjoy music and bands, so getting to see them live is an amazing opportunity.”
She has been to all sorts of venues from colossal stadiums like Edward Jones Dome and Verizon Amphitheater to intimate, quaint venues like the Ready Room.
Along with seeing so many of her favorite artists and bands live, she has also had the chance to meet the faces behind the sound several times.
“It’s something truly special when you actually get to interact and become friends with the people you admire so much,” McRae said.
McRae has met five alternative indie bands: Twin Forks, Public, Jukebox the Ghost, Moon Taxi and, informally, Walk the Moon. Her list is projected to continue because of the plethora of concert dates McRae is planning to attend this year.
“When I am at a concert, I am 100 percent in my element. The atmosphere and vibes are bliss,” McRae said.
McRae’s next musical conquest will be a music festival. One thing is for sure, McRae’s concert streak is nowhere close to finished.

[Families] actually having the opportunity to have their kids on the field with us is the most important aspect,” Ben Lundt said.](https://lancerfeed.press/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/IMG_6823-1200x800.jpg)
