Jennifer Butler, Entertainment Editor

The season of stress at Lafayette begins and ends with Advanced Placement (AP) Exams. While the four-hour long tests are hard, never fear, because they are all passable.  Here are five websites to help prepare for APs.

www.collegeboard.com

College Board is a great place to study for any AP exam, from World History to Music Theory. You sign up for the exams and receive your scores in the summer at this website. The website contains the released previous exams, both multiple choice and free response, and answers to those questions. It’s a resourceful place to study and understand how the tests are scored and what kinds of questions are given.

www.apstudynotes.com

One of the most tasking parts of AP exams is remembering and memorizing everything you’ve learned over the last two semesters. This website is amazing because it has vocabulary, chapter outlines, practice tests and sample essays. Content varies depending on which subject you’re studying for but overall it’s a good website to understand main ideas and examples.

www.cliffsnotes.com

CliffsNotes is organized by subtopics and pieces of exams. For example, AP Biology has various links to study from including evolution, excretory systems and free response insight. Help from Cliffsnotes ranges from sample questions to tips on writing an AP Literature essay.

www.getafive.com

Of course everyone who takes an AP exam wants to get a five and at the very least a three on the AP scale. It offers video lectures, review and practice questions for four common AP tests: Calculus AB, United States History, World History and Biology. You can sign up online and be taught by teachers through this website.

www.mhgradeplus.com

Mc-Graw Hill also has example multiple choice questions, set up as a quiz. At the end of the quiz, you can go through all of your answers and get an explanation for why the answer is correct to help you learn from your mistakes. It’s a great way to fix smaller problems in memory and help understand the logic behind the answer.
