Some students want to participate in sports just for fun, and not for the pressure of playing on a school sports team, this is why sophomore Connor Stephens started an indoor soccer league with several of his friends.
Stephens said he got about 15 students to join his league, all of them sophomores.
“I decided to do this in the beginning of the school year. It was something fun that we could all do together,” Stephens said.
Stephens wanted time to play a fun sport with his friends without having to worry about the stress of high school sports.
They just started playing games recently, and according to Stephens, they have won one game and lost two so far.
“We won our first game last weekend!” he said.
Stephens said he and his friends plan on continuing their soccer league all throughout high school.
“I think we’ll do it again next year,” he said.
They play games during the week and weekends throughout the school year, times are always different.
