In the mornings instead of sitting on the floor, some might see senior Nate Russell sitting in the camping chair that he keeps in his locker.
lhsimage.com answers questions about why he uses his chair.
Why did you start sitting in a chair in the morning?
“It started when a friend and I were studying for an AP Art History one morning. We decided to bring chairs to sit in and I brought a portable speaker, too.”
How did the idea of sitting in your chair come about?
“Four years ago these girls on cross country started sitting in chairs instead of sitting on the ground in front of their lockers to study for their finals and I liked the idea.”
What types of reactions have you gotten from other students?
“I’ve gotten a few weird stares and some high fives.”
Why do you store the chair in your locker?
“For convenience.”
How many chairs have you gone through?”
“I’m on my second. My first one was destroyed because someone took it and tackled the chair so it broke. But now I’m on my second and it’s of a much higher quality.”
