This weekend, Aug. 28-29 is the First Annual LouFest, an eco-friendly music festival that will be held in Forest Park.
It will include a variety of both local bands such as Gentlemen Auction House, and popular national bands, such as She & Him and Broken Social Scene.
Each day music will begin at noon and the last band of the day, which will be the headliner, will start playing at 8:30 p.m.
Tickets are still on sale and compared to bigger music festivals, such as Pitchfork or Lollapalloza where ticket costs can reach $200. LouFest much cheaper and cost $38 for one day and $64 for both days.
Food and drink from various St. Louis area restaurants will be sold, as opposed to typical concession items.
There will be booths set up that display various ways to live more “green” and there will also be a children’s area that will run most of the day.
For those not attending the festival, do not worry for lhsimage.com will be full of reviews and stories highlighting the main events of LouFest.
