Natasha Fischer, theater teacher
“We have rehearsal every day. I go home and revamp by blocking stuff, and then I come back and work with the kids every day. I’m most excited for the leads to be featured because I don’t think they’ve ever been a lead in a musical here, so they get to shine for the first time, so I’m very excited about that. I think [the audience] will like the dancing and the amount of fun the kids are actually having on stage. [The show is unique because] we have a unit set, which means we don’t roll in pieces–everything is stationary on one piece. We just have pieces we bring in and out, so it’s the first time we’ve ever done something like that for a musical. We have about 45 [students] on crew [to help with the set].”
