Taste of West County makes return after four years

At Lafayette High School, Lauren Dean hands Caroline Trost and Megan Bilsland a sweet treat from the Sarah’s Cake Shop booth at the Taste of West County to help raise money for the Junior Class.

Following a four-year absence, Taste of West County made its return as a fundraiser for the Junior Class on March 11, 2024. Made up of 24 vendors and 435 attendees, the fundraiser collected over $7000 for the Junior Class. The money raised will be used for the senior activities for the Class of 2025.

The original graduation date for the Class of 2024 was set to be May 29 at the Chaifetz Arena. However, on Aug. 3, the BOE voted to change Graduation to May 11. When Rockwood posted about the change on Facebook, many parents took to the comments to voice their concerns and support.
