Lafayette takes on Marquette in annual Chick-fil-a fundraiser
Not only will Lafayette face off against Marquette on the field this week, but at Chick-fil-a as well.
Lafayette is participating in a fundraiser to raise money for Renaissance, and Marquette will also be competing against the Lancers.
When Lafayette students purchase food from Chick-fil-a on Wednesday, Sept. 20 from 5 to 9 p.m., 15 percent of the proceeds will go back to LHS. Marquette gets its chance on Monday, Sept. 18.
The winner of the competition will be announced at the Lafayette home football game on Sept. 22. The winner of the football game will receive a $500 check from Chick-fil-a.
To participate all you have to do is put a copy of your receipt in one of the four designated Lafayette bins throughout the restaurant or give your receipt back to the drive-thru attendant and it will count toward the fundraiser total.
Renaissance sponsor Matt Landwehr is coordinating the annual event and he believes it is a chance to give back to the Lafayette community.
“I also just want to beat Marquette,” Landwehr said
Lafayette has only lost once against Marquette in the Chick-fil-a competition.
