On May 14, the varsity boys tennis team took the top spot at Districts beating out Rockwood Summit. The boys reached the moving needed five matches to take the win over Summit.
So now the team will move on to Team Sectionals May 21, first playing CBC in the morning match and then possibly advancing to play Kirkwood if they secure the win over the Cadets.
Head Coach Mark McAllister said the multiple tournaments the team has played in addition to the normal dual matches of the season prepared the players for the different format of Districts and Sectionals.
He said, “We should be CBC this Saturday morning and then our toughest match of the year will in the afternoon against Kirkwood. They have a full line up and it is a six [singles] and four [doubles] format.”
