Boys basketball: The struggling Lancers faced District rival Eureka on Dec. 22, and fell to the Wildcats 72-50. They did not fare any better against Troy on Dec. 28, and suffered a 73-59 loss. Soon after was their game against Vianney on Dec. 29, where the Griffins beat the Lancers 71-42. The following day, the Lancers lost against Fort Zumwalt North, 69-49. On Jan. 5, the Lancers lost against Kirkwood High School, 70-57. With a 3-9 record, and a seven-game losing streak, the team is looking for a things to turn around Liberty Wentzville at home on Jan. 14.

Boys wrestling: On Jan. 6, the Lancers faced off against the Eureka Wildcats, and dominated the meet 52-18. Later in the week on Jan. 8, the Lancers participated in a Quad against Nixa, Blue Springs and Troy. They won each of the three matches by respective scores of 48-30, 48-23 and 56-18. They continued their winning streak on Jan. 9 in the Lafayette Duals where they took on Rockwood Summit, Ladue, St. Clair and Hillsboro. The respective scores were 56-16, 66-9, 56-18 and 41-30. Senior Joel Mylin won the outstanding wrestler award for the tournament. They are leading the area with a perfect 21-0 record.

Girls basketball: Before Winter Break, the Lady Lancers competed against District rival Eureka. The team was blown out by the Wildcats who more than doubled the Lancer score, finishing 58-27. Their next game was in the MICDS Tournament on Dec. 26, and they fell to the host MICDS in the first round in a close game, 52-49. Against Pattonville on Dec. 28, they lost 57-45. Despite losing to Kirkwood 44-36 on Dec. 29, the Lady Lancers had an impressive offensive effort as they were trailing 25-11 at halftime and put together an offensive rally in the second half. In a rematch against Kirkwood on Jan. 5, the Lady Lancers broke their five game losing streak and won 51-44. Their record currently sits at 7-6, and they look to gain further ground against Seckman on Jan. 14.

Girls swimming and diving: In their meet against Kirkwood on Jan. 7, the Lady Lancers fell to the Pioneers 109-77. However, they came back stronger than ever in the Lafayette Quad, where the team took first with 535.5 points over Nerinx Hall, Parkway South and Webster Groves. The Lady Lancers placed second in the 200-yard medley and 200-yard freestyle relay. The team placed first in the 400-yard freestyle relay. In individual races, junior Dylan Moulton placed second in the 100 and 200-yard freestyle, freshman Taylor Cloutman placed first in the 50-yard freestyle and second in the 500-yard freestyle, sophomore Grace Tyson placed second in the 100-yard butterfly. Sophomore Maggie Arceneaux placed first in the diving portion of the meet.

Girls wrestling: After a close match against Eureka on Jan. 6, the Lady Lancers came out with a 36-33 win. They went on to lose a close 43-42 match against Nixa High School on Jan. 8. However, they rebounded and dominated Blue Springs the same night, 48-6. They competed in the Seckman Tournament on Jan. 9, and took fourth overall. Senior Josette Partney and juniors Seraphina Blackmon and Faith Cole placed first in their respective weight classes, sophomore McKenna Budnick placed second, senior Sophia Scheller and freshman Toby Goertz placed third, sophomores Brianna Chong and Jayla Jones placed fourth and sophomores Grace Ortman and Shayla Wade placed sixth.

Hockey: The Lancers played against Kirkwood High School on Dec. 28, and tied the Pioneers 2-2 with senior Justin Sprague and sophomore Andrew Knapp scoring a goal each. To start the new year on Jan. 1, the Lancers won the annual Silver Skate game against Marquette for the first time in six years, 5-2. Sprague scored four goals. Sophomore Shane Robinson scored the other. The team played SLUH on Jan. 5, and fell 3-1 with Sprague scoring the only goal. Quick to rebound after the loss, the team dominated Oakville, 8-0. Knapp and Sprague each had two goals and senior Matthew Brodsky, juniors Luke Carrico, Nathaniel Orf and Robinson each scored one. However, the Lancers were crushed by CBC 10-1, with Sprague finding the net just once for the team. The team’s record stands at 6-5-3 and they’ll have their final two games of the regular season against Vianney and De Smet on Jan. 15 and Jan. 23.
