Lafayette senior nominated for Post Dispatch award
The St. Louis Post Dispatch will be having the annual Scholar Athlete award ceremony this May. It is the 51st year of this event, where students will be honored from every area of school. This event will be held at Busch Stadium on Tuesday, May 2. An approximated 150 people will be nominated and honored before the Cardinals game against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Nominees will receive four free tickets to the Cardinals game after the ceremony. They will also receive $12 per ticket to be spent at any Cardinals concession.
The nominees are given a questionnaire that asks for name, email, awards he/she has earned, favorite book, etc.
The St. Louis Post Dispatch nominee from Lafayette was Austin Stofer, varsity football player and wrestler. Stofer was nominated because of his overall dedication to his sports and school.
“It takes full effort and dedication to sports and school. Take full advantages of your resources and never stop and never quit,” Stofer said.
