
For this years Spring Musical, LTC is putting on the show, “Once Upon a Mattress” which is a re-telling of the classic fairytale, “The Princess and The Pea” with just a little twist to it.
LTC to perform Once Upon a Mattress for Spring Musical

For this year’s musical, the LTC will be performing Once Upon a Mattress in the Auditorium Feb. 6, 7 and 8 at 7 p.m. Doors will be open at 6:30 p.m. and tickets can be purchased online and at the door for $10.

With a fun twist added, Swindle said the musical itself is actually a remaking of the classic fairytale, "The Princess and the Pea". This musical takes place in an far-off kingdom where a royal proclamation has been sent out by the queen stating that no one will get married before her son does. (Vedha Inampudi)
Elwyn Dignam as Prince Dauntless
Playing Prince Dauntless in the Musical, sophomore Elwyn Dignam said he was very happy to be cast for the role. Prince Dauntless described by Dignam is a very silly and oblivious man attempting to find love in his world. (Vedha Inampudi)
Kaden Grey as Princess Winifred
Princess Winifred, played by senior Kaden Grey, is trying to marry Prince Dauntless which involves pretending to be shy and fragile when in reality, she is the complete opposite of those things. (Vedha Inampudi)
Joe Meier, Props Crew
As a part of Props Crew, senior Joe Meier is currently focusing on designing the props to make them colorful to match the fun and lighthearted theme of the musical. (Vedha Inampudi)
Natalie Caudle, LTC President and Stage Manager
As the LTC President and Stage Manager, senior Natalie Caudle began involving herself in theater since middle school. She knew she wanted to be a part of LTC as soon as she saw a show performed by them. (Vedha Inampudi)

Four year staffer Zosia Paciorek is heavily involved in tennis. Placing 2nd in the Missouri Team Championships, Paciorek also values giving back to her community through the sport. Starting her adaptive tennis program for young athletes with disabilities, Paciorek has been running this inclusive camp for a year now where athletes get one-on-one coaching from volunteers. Apart from her passion for tennis, Paciorek dedicated herself to student journalism since freshman year at LHS. Having written over 40 stories, Paciorek has gained experience in the field of journalism and is excited to continue her journey this year.
