Softball’s season comes to a close after loss to Washington

After an up and down season, the Lady Lancers varsity softball season’s has officially come to a close.

The team finished with a 8-15 record and tied for last place in the Suburban West-American standings alongside Fox.

“I feel (this season) was a success,” Head Coach Scott DeNoyer said. “Its not always about wins and losses, but more about building characteristics of a champion. We worked hard, believed in one another, became more confident each and every day and had the courage to give it our best shot every day. All characteristics of success.’

The team’s seniors this year were Kayley Allen, Addie Balderston, Sarah Dobson, Taylor Hand, Madisyn Henne and Lauren Kulick.

When asked what legacy this years seniors left DeNoyer said, “A legacy of teamwork.  Each one of them played different roles throughout their career and fulfilled them to the best of their ability every day. We are very proud of them and thank them for their commitment to the program.”
